Rep. Nancy Mace (R‑SC) said Rep. Matt Gaetz (R‑FL) should follow through with his threat to oust House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R‑CA) if he is going to do it, but declined to say whether she would vote to remove the Republican leader.
“It hasn’t happened yet, and I am not going to comment on conjecture here. Either he is going to file it, or he’s not. If he’s going to do it, put his money where his mouth is,” Mace said Sunday on ABC’s This Week.

Gaetz, who helped lead the unsuccessful effort to deny McCarthy the speakership, doubled down on his efforts to gather the votes to remove him from the position this week.
