Nancy Pelosi hits back at Trump for blaming her for Jan. 6

Rep. Nancy Pelosi (R‑CA) fired back at former President Donald Trump after he blamed her for the riot at the United States Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, accusing him of projecting.

“Nancy Pelosi was in charge of security,” Trump said. “She turned down 10,000 soldiers. If she didn’t turn down the soldiers, you wouldn’t have had January.” Welker pointed out that Pelosi lacked the executive power to call in National Guard troops, which Trump denied, saying she was in charge of security.
