Stim­u­lus update: Pay­ment worth $1,300 to be sent next month from Alas­ka fund

Eli­gi­ble res­i­dents in Alas­ka are set to get their pay­ment from the 2023 Per­ma­nent Fund Div­i­dend in a few weeks.
The esti­mat­ed $1,300 pay­ment, approved by law­mak­ers ear­li­er this year as part of the fis­cal 2024 bud­get for the state, will begin dis­tri­b­u­tion in 18 days.

Alas­ka offi­cials deter­mine how much pay­ments from the Per­ma­nent Fund Div­i­dend are based on the min­er­al rev­enues for the state that year, and they are sent to res­i­dents of the 49th state “to ben­e­fit cur­rent and future gen­er­a­tions.”
The recip­i­ent of the pay­ment from the Per­ma­nent Fund Div­i­dend must be an Alas­ka res­i­dent who intends to remain a res­i­dent of the state indef­i­nite­ly at the time of fill­ing out the appli­ca­tion. The appli­cant must also not be a con­vict­ed felon and not be claim­ing res­i­den­cy in anoth­er state dur­ing that year.
The pay­ments from the Per­ma­nent Fund Div­i­dend will be sent out on Oct. 5 to those who filed elec­tron­i­cal­ly, request­ed direct deposit, and had the “eli­gi­ble not paid” sta­tus as of Sept. 21, accord­ing to the …
