House Over­sight Sched­ules First Biden Impeach­ment Hear­ing

The House Over­sight Com­mit­tee has picked a date to hold its first hear­ing in the impeach­ment inquiry against Pres­i­dent Joe Biden.
A pan­el spokesper­son con­firmed to The Dai­ly Wire it will be held on Thurs­day, Sep­tem­ber 28.
“The hear­ing will focus on con­sti­tu­tion­al and legal ques­tions sur­round­ing the President’s involve­ment in cor­rup­tion and abuse of pub­lic office,” the spokesper­son added.
Speak­er Kevin McCarthy (R‑CA) announced the for­mal impeach­ment inquiry against Biden last Tues­day, one week ago, after the House returned from a sum­mer recess.
Repub­li­cans uncov­ered “seri­ous and cred­i­ble alle­ga­tions into Pres­i­dent Biden’s con­duct — a cul­ture of cor­rup­tion,” the speak­er said.

Democ­rats in Con­gress argued the impeach­ment inquiry is “ille­git­i­mate” and a “fish­ing expe­di­tion,” while the White House has put togeth­er a “war room” and called on the media for assis­tance in fend­ing off the probe. Biden quipped that he wished Repub­li­cans “lots of luck” in their endeav­or.
