WATCH LIVE: House Over­sight sub­com­mit­tee holds hear­ing on Bide­nomics

A sub­com­mit­tee of the House Over­sight Com­mit­tee will hold a hear­ing on Bide­nomics on Tues­day.
The Sub­com­mit­tee for Eco­nom­ic Growth, Ener­gy Pol­i­cy, and Reg­u­la­to­ry Affairs will have a hear­ing titled “Bide­nomics: A Per­fect Storm of Spend­ing, Debt, and Infla­tion.”

The hear­ing will fea­ture tes­ti­mo­ny from Car­rie Sheffield, a senior pol­i­cy ana­lyst for Inde­pen­dent Wom­en’s Forum; Uni­ver­si­ty of Chica­go pro­fes­sor Casey Mul­li­gan; E.J. Antoni, a Her­itage Foun­da­tion research fel­low and Com­mit­tee to Unleash Pros­per­i­ty senior fel­low; and Bob­by Kogan, the Cen­ter for Amer­i­can Pro­gress’s senior direc­tor of fed­er­al bud­get pol­i­cy.
Wit­ness­es will speak on the impact of infla­tion and spend­ing on com­mu­ni­ties and homes. Infla­tion rose to 1.6% for the year end­ing in August, the sec­ond such month to increase.

Repub­li­cans have been tar­get­ing Pres­i­dent Joe Biden since he start­ed tout­ing Bide­nomics as a cor­ner­stone of his reelec­tion cam­paign.
