Biden To Announce Office Of Gun Vio­lence Pre­ven­tion Staffed By Gun Con­trol Activists: Report

Pres­i­dent Joe Biden is report­ed­ly cre­at­ing the first-ever fed­er­al office of gun vio­lence pre­ven­tion, a step pushed by gun con­trol activists.
Biden is set to make the announce­ment on Fri­day, accord­ing to The Wash­ing­ton Post. The pres­i­dent plans to lever­age the new office, which will employ gun con­trol activists in key roles, against Con­gress to push leg­is­la­tion on restrict­ing firearms.
White House staff sec­re­tary Ste­fanie Feld­man, a long­time Biden aide who has spe­cial­ized in gun con­trol research and leg­is­la­tion, will over­see the office’s work and be its liai­son to the White House, the report said.
