
Former hedge fund executive Dave McCormick announced Thursday evening that he was launching another bid for U.S. Senate in Pennsylvania as Sen. Bob Casey (D‑PA) becomes more vulnerable as a result of President Joe Biden’s failures as president.
McCormick was the runner-up in Republican Party primary in 2022, losing to the candidate that former President Donald Trump decided to endorse: Dr. Mehmet Oz.
Oz later went on to lose to John Fetterman (D) 51.2% to 46.3% in what was supposed to be a strong opportunity for Republicans to retake the U.S. Senate.
