Dave McCormick Announces New Bid For U.S. Senate Seat In Pennsylvania

For­mer hedge fund exec­u­tive Dave McCormick announced Thurs­day evening that he was launch­ing anoth­er bid for U.S. Sen­ate in Penn­syl­va­nia as Sen. Bob Casey (D‑PA) becomes more vul­ner­a­ble as a result of Pres­i­dent Joe Biden’s fail­ures as pres­i­dent.
McCormick was the run­ner-up in Repub­li­can Par­ty pri­ma­ry in 2022, los­ing to the can­di­date that for­mer Pres­i­dent Don­ald Trump decid­ed to endorse: Dr. Mehmet Oz.
Oz lat­er went on to lose to John Fet­ter­man (D) 51.2% to 46.3% in what was sup­posed to be a strong oppor­tu­ni­ty for Repub­li­cans to retake the U.S. Sen­ate.
