Ana Navar­ro renames Free­dom Cau­cus to ‘Fundrais­ing Cau­cus’ amid loom­ing shut­down

The View co-host Ana Navar­ro let her resent­ment for the House Free­dom Cau­cus show dur­ing a dis­cus­sion of the fed­er­al bud­get.
Trans­porta­tion Sec­re­tary Pete Buttigieg appeared for an inter­view with the hosts on Fri­day. He shared his insight on the loom­ing gov­ern­ment shut­down that could hap­pen if Con­gress does­n’t approve a bud­get by 12:01 a.m. on Sun­day.

“What seems to be hap­pen­ing is a hand­ful of fringe Repub­li­cans in the House are real­ly hold­ing the whole process hostage demand­ing fur­ther and deep­er cuts,” Buttigieg said. When asked to name them, he went on: “It’s too many to name. You def­i­nite­ly can look them up. You see them hold­ing the whole process up. A lot belong to what’s called the Free­dom Cau­cus.”
“They should­n’t be called the Free­dom Cau­cus; they should be called the Fundrais­ing Cau­cus,” Navar­ro said, “’cause, frankly, all they’re try­ing to do is fundraise out of these the­atrics.”
