Food stamps: Octo­ber SNAP pay­ments for Michi­gan worth up to $1,691 to arrive in one day

The Sup­ple­men­tal Nutri­tion Assis­tance Pro­gram will begin send­ing pay­ments to Michi­gan house­holds on Tues­day.
Recip­i­ents will col­lect SNAP pay­ments from Oct. 3 to Oct. 21 on odd days. The spe­cif­ic arrival date for food stamps depends on a house­hold’s last dig­it of the SNAP ID num­ber.

Those who become eli­gi­ble for SNAP ben­e­fits after Oct. 21 or after their ID num­ber pass­es will still col­lect food stamps for Octo­ber and will not need to wait for the next round in Novem­ber.
House­holds with ID num­bers 0, 1, 2, 3, and 4 will receive their pay­ments on the 3rd, 5th, 7th, 9th, and 11th, respec­tive­ly. ID num­bers 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 will col­lect ben­e­fits on the 13th, 15th, 17th, 19th, and 21st, respec­tive­ly.
About 1.34 mil­lion peo­ple receive food stamps, account­ing for 13% of Michi­gan’s pop­u­la­tion. The aver­age pay­ment per house­hold mem­ber per month is $181.
The max­i­mum pay­ment is $281 for a house­hold of one, $1,116 for a house­hold of five, and $1,691 for a house­hold of eight in Michi­gan. And $211 is added as a max­i­mum for …
