Stimulus update: Deadline to claim rebate worth up to $500 in Georgia just 10 days away

Taxpayers in Georgia who received an extension on their income tax filing deadline have 10 more days to file their returns to see a tax rebate of up to $500.
Most taxpayers in the state filed their taxes at the regular deadline, in April, and they received their tax rebate shortly after, but those in the Peach State who were affected by severe storms earlier this year were allowed to file their taxes by Oct. 16, according to the IRS. Those taxpayers will see their rebates once they have filed their 2022 tax returns.
