Georgia taxpayers who received an extension on filing their income tax for 2022 have nine days to file their returns to see a tax rebate of up to $500.
Most residents in the Peach State filed their taxes at the regular deadline in April and subsequently received their tax rebate shortly after, but those in Georgia who were affected by severe storms earlier this year were allowed to file their taxes by Oct. 16, per the IRS. Those taxpayers who got the extension will see their rebates once they have filed their 2022 tax returns.
