Mar­jorie Tay­lor Greene wants future speak­er to pur­sue her ‘issues’ of choice

Rep. Mar­jorie Tay­lor Greene (R‑GA) would not com­mit to endors­ing any­one for speak­er of the House.
Greene appeared on Sun­day Morn­ing Futures ahead of a vote on speak­er antic­i­pat­ed this com­ing week. For­mer Speak­er Kevin McCarthy (R‑CA) was oust­ed on Tues­day, with eight Repub­li­cans vot­ing to vacate him, but Greene was not one of them. Rep. Jim Jor­dan (R‑OH) has expressed his inter­est in becom­ing McCarthy’s replace­ment, along with House Major­i­ty Leader Steve Scalise (R‑LA). Greene post­ed on X, for­mer­ly known as Twit­ter, Sun­day to say she wants “a Speak­er that will com­mit to mov­ing on the impor­tant issues I lay out.”
