Karine Jean-Pierre refus­es to call on New York Post reporter: ‘And I’m not call­ing on you today’

White House press sec­re­tary Karine Jean-Pierre open­ly refused to call on a New York Post reporter Wednes­day.
Jean-Pierre dis­missed New York Post reporter Steve Nel­son after he vocal­ly took issue with her ignor­ing him for an extend­ed peri­od. The viral inter­ac­tion showed Nel­son inter­rupt­ing Jean-Pierre as she looked for anoth­er reporter to call on.

“You haven’t called on me in two sea­sons, Karine,” Nel­son said.
“And I’m not call­ing on you today,” Jean-Pierre quipped as she point­ed to anoth­er reporter. “Go ahead.”

Nel­son then pro­ceed­ed to crit­i­cize her as dis­re­spect­ful, speak­ing above the oth­ers in the room.
