Israel war: Nik­ki Haley pre­dicts that Arab coun­tries will ‘blame’ US for their own inac­tion

2024 pres­i­den­tial can­di­date Nik­ki Haley said that Arab coun­tries should step up and offer aid to Pales­tini­ans attempt­ing to evac­u­ate from the Gaza Strip as the war in Israel con­tin­ues.
Haley, who served as the Unit­ed States ambas­sador to the Unit­ed Nations, said Arab coun­tries like Egypt, Lebanon, Qatar, and Jor­dan have the abil­i­ty to “go in and tell Hamas right now to stop what they’re doing.”

“They have the abil­i­ty to tell Hamas to let those peo­ple out, but you know what, Qatar is going to con­tin­ue to work with Hamas and their lead­er­ship, or Iran’s gonna con­tin­ue to fund all of this and not say any­thing, and whose silent?” Haley said. “Every one of those Arab coun­tries are going to be silent, but expect for the fin­ger to point to Israel, and the fin­ger’s gonna point to Amer­i­ca.”
Hamas, a Pales­tin­ian mil­i­tant group named a ter­ror­ist orga­ni­za­tion by the U.S., attacked Israel ear­ly on Oct. 7 in the largest assault on Jew­ish peo­ple since the Holo­caust. So far, the death toll is over 1,300 Israelis and more than 2,200 on the Gaza side.
Over one mil­lion peo­ple in the north­ern Gaza Strip have been ordered to evac­u­ate to the south. How­ev­er, Haley said that the Arab coun­tries “aren’t doing any­thing” to help Pales­tini­ans seek­ing to flee the Gaza Strip because they don’t know who to trust.
