Former President Donald Trump received a limited gag order in the criminal election interference case in Washington, D.C., blocking him from making statements publicly targeting prosecutors, court staff or their families, or about witnesses or their testimony.
Federal prosecutors led by special counsel Jack Smith argued in federal district court Monday that Trump should be barred from making statements about potential trial witnesses and others, contending it could prejudice his criminal election interference case.
