Child Tax Cred­it: Pay­ment worth $330 per child to be sent to New York fam­i­lies in 2024

While the Biden administration’s month­ly child tax cred­it to help fam­i­lies with the costs of rais­ing chil­dren has end­ed, mul­ti­ple states are issu­ing their own ver­sions of the child tax cred­it, includ­ing New York.
Under New York’s Empire State Child Tax Cred­it, the state will pro­vide eli­gi­ble fam­i­lies up to $330 annu­al­ly per child between the ages of four and 16.

The exact pay­ment for the Empire State child cred­it depends on income, and there are cer­tain year­ly income thresh­olds need­ed to qual­i­fy. For mar­ried fil­ers, the house­hold must earn $100,000 or less. Sin­gle or head-of-house­hold fil­ers must earn $75,000 or less, and those who are mar­ried but fil­ing sep­a­rate­ly must earn $55,000 or less.
