Pelosi says House Repub­li­cans ‘don’t believe in gov­er­nance’

For­mer House Speak­er Nan­cy Pelosi (D‑CA) has argued that House Repub­li­cans do not believe in “gov­er­nance” as the House con­tin­ues its search for a speak­er.
The search for the new speak­er comes after the House vot­ed on Oct. 3 to oust Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R‑CA) from the posi­tion, with eight Repub­li­can law­mak­ers join­ing the Democ­rats in vot­ing to remove him. Since then, pro­duc­tion in the House has stalled, as Con­gress is lim­it­ed in what it can do until it finds a new speak­er.

“They don’t believe in gov­er­nance,” Pelosi told MSNBC. “Under­stand that. So this, for them, is not any break in the action. They don’t want any actions. This is it.”
