Stim­u­lus update: Penn­syl­va­nia res­i­dents have until Dec. 31 to file for up to $650 in prop­er­ty tax rebates

Eli­gi­ble Penn­syl­va­nia res­i­dents have until the end of Decem­ber to file an appli­ca­tion for the state’s Prop­er­ty Tax/Rent Rebate Pro­gram.
The amount of a tax rebate a house­hold will receive will depend on income and whether the appli­cant rents or owns their home. The max­i­mum stan­dard rebates are between $250 and $650 for home­own­ers and between $500 and $650 for renters.

Sup­ple­men­tal rebates for qual­i­fy­ing home­own­ers can boost rebates up to $975, accord­ing to the state’s Depart­ment of Rev­enue.
The income lim­it is $35,000 annu­al­ly for a home­own­er and $15,000 annu­al­ly for renters. Half of Social Secu­ri­ty income is exclud­ed.
Home­own­ers with an income from $0 to $18,000 can receive a max­i­mum rebate of $650, those with incomes $8,001 to $15,000 can receive a max­i­mum rebate of $500, those with incomes $15,001 to $18,000 can receive a max­i­mum rebate of $300 …
