WATCH LIVE: Maine State Police hold press con­fer­ence fol­low­ing reports of Robert Card death

Maine State Police are hold­ing a press con­fer­ence at 10 p.m. on Fri­day to pro­vide updates on the man­hunt for Robert Card, the sus­pect in the mass shoot­ing that took place in Lewis­ton on Wednes­day.
Card was report­ed­ly found dead near a recy­cling cen­ter where he used to work in Lis­bon, bring­ing an end to the over 48-hour man­hunt. The shoot­ing sus­pect is alleged to have opened fire at Spare­time Recre­ation Cen­ter and Schemengees Bar and Grille, killing 18 peo­ple.

Author­i­ties said at a press con­fer­ence on Fri­day evening that all the vic­tims had been iden­ti­fied, and the fam­i­lies had been noti­fied. Among the dead are a 14-year-old boy, a 73-year-old woman, and a 76-year-old man. Most of the vic­tims were between the ages of 30 and 50.

CNN report­ed that Card had legal­ly pur­chased the weapon he is alleged to have used in the mass shoot­ing short­ly pri­or to being hos­pi­tal­ized for men­tal health rea­sons over the sum­mer, cit­ing mul­ti­ple law enforce­ment sources.
