Maine offi­cials are hold­ing a press con­fer­ence after the man­hunt for Robert Card closed when the mass shoot­ing sus­pect was found dead on Fri­day evening. Card is sus­pect­ed of killing 18 peo­ple and injur­ing 13 in a mass shoot­ing on Wednes­day in Lewis­ton, Maine.

Card, 40, died from an appar­ent self-inflict­ed gun­shot wound, Michael Sauschuck, com­mis­sion­er of the Maine Depart­ment of Pub­lic Safe­ty said dur­ing a press con­fer­ence fol­low­ing the news. His body was locat­ed along the Androscog­gin Riv­er in Lis­bon Falls, but law enforce­ment did not pro­vide an exact address Fri­day night.

On Fri­day, the Maine Depart­ment of Pub­lic Safe­ty pub­licly released the names and pho­tos of the 18 vic­tims killed at Just-in-Time Recre­ation bowl­ing alley and Schemengees Bar & Grille.
