DNC’s Don­na Brazile says GOP will become ‘MAGA par­ty’ with Pence gone

The for­mer Demo­c­ra­t­ic Nation­al Com­mit­tee Chair Don­na Brazile claimed the Repub­li­can Par­ty is becom­ing Don­ald Trump’s “MAGA par­ty.”
Brazile appeared on This Week on Sun­day to react to Mike Pence’s with­draw­al from the 2024 elec­tion from the day before. She claimed this was a “huge” week for the “move­ment” that takes its name from Trump’s cam­paign slo­gan: Make Amer­i­ca Great Again.

“This is a MAGA par­ty,” Brazile said. “They just got a speak­er, after all. ‘MAGA Mike’ as Don­ald Trump has now brand­ed him. Look, Mike Pence tried to change the dynam­ics of the Repub­li­can Par­ty. It’s not chang­ing. It is now behind Don­ald Trump come tri­al or tribu­la­tions.”
