EXCLUSIVE — Keep­ing with the Hal­loween spir­it, the Nation­al Repub­li­can Con­gres­sion­al Com­mit­tee deliv­ered a post­man cos­tume to House Demo­c­ra­t­ic Con­fer­ence Chair­man Pete Aguilar’s (D‑CA) office after he was dubbed “Post Office Pete” by Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R‑CA).
While on the House floor nom­i­nat­ing Rep. Jim Jor­dan (R‑OH) for speak­er of the House, McCarthy hit Aguilar for only hav­ing one bill signed into law in his years in Con­gress, a post office in Cal­i­for­nia. “I guess that’s good enough to be cau­cus chair,” McCarthy said.
