
EXCLUSIVE — Keeping with the Halloween spirit, the National Republican Congressional Committee delivered a postman costume to House Democratic Conference Chairman Pete Aguilar’s (D‑CA) office after he was dubbed “Post Office Pete” by Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R‑CA).
While on the House floor nominating Rep. Jim Jordan (R‑OH) for speaker of the House, McCarthy hit Aguilar for only having one bill signed into law in his years in Congress, a post office in California. “I guess that’s good enough to be caucus chair,” McCarthy said.
