White House tight-lipped on Trump’s 14th Amend­ment tri­al in Col­orado

The White House declined to com­ment on Tues­day when pressed on the law­suit seek­ing to keep for­mer Pres­i­dent Don­ald Trump off the 2024 elec­tion bal­lot in Col­orado.
Cit­i­zens for Respon­si­bil­i­ty and Ethics in Wash­ing­ton filed the law­suit, which claims that Trump’s action on and lead­ing up to the Jan. 6 Capi­tol riot dis­qual­i­fies him from appear­ing on the bal­lot. The week­long tri­al in the case opened Mon­day and could pro­vide prece­dent for dis­qual­i­fy­ing Trump from win­ning the pres­i­den­cy.
