The Texas Rangers are the 2023 World Series champions, defeating the Arizona Diamondbacks 5–0 to take home their first-ever championship.
The Rangers went 11–0 on the road during the playoffs, defeating the defending champion Houston Astros in seven games in the American League Championship Series. Prior to this improbable postseason run, they hadn’t been to the playoffs in seven years.

The Rangers were led by second baseman Marcus Semien, shortstop Corey Seager, and starting pitcher Nathan Eovaldi, who allowed zero runs in Wednesday’s start. Seager was named World Series MVP, becoming only the fourth player ever to do so multiple times, as he previously won with the Los Angeles Dodgers.
But the Rangers’s postseason run was defined by everyone pitching in, and under the tutelage of manager Bruce Bochy — who won three championships with the San Francisco Giants — the Texas ball club was able to bring the World Series home.
