The Sen­ate Finance Com­mit­tee is hold­ing a hear­ing to con­sid­er for­mer Mary­land Gov. Mar­tin O’Mal­ley (D) to be the new Social Secu­ri­ty admin­is­tra­tor.
The hear­ing is slat­ed to begin at 10 a.m. Biden announced his inten­tion to nom­i­nate O’Mal­ley for the posi­tion on July 26, argu­ing that the for­mer gov­er­nor would defend Social Secu­ri­ty.
