Ritchie Tor­res says he acci­den­tal­ly vot­ed against res­o­lu­tion con­demn­ing Hamas sup­port­ers at col­leges

Rep. Ritchie Tor­res (D‑NY) said he “mis­tak­en­ly” vot­ed against a House res­o­lu­tion con­demn­ing sup­port for Hamas on col­lege cam­pus­es, which over­whelm­ing­ly passed the low­er cham­ber of Con­gress on Thurs­day.
The res­o­lu­tion passed 396–23, with 22 Democ­rats and one Repub­li­can vot­ing against the bill. Tor­res, who has been vocal in his sup­port for Israel, issued a state­ment short­ly after the vote say­ing he sub­mit­ted a “cor­rec­tion for the record” and that he has “no use for pro-Hamas pro­tes­tors.”
