John Fetterman bashes Gavin Newsom over perceived shadow presidential campaign

Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) bashed Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) for allegedly running a “shadow” presidential campaign.
Fetterman made the comments at an Iowa Democratic Party fundraiser while advocating for all Democrats to fully back President Joe Biden for reelection as president, according to NBC News. He warned other Democrats eyeing the presidency not to run in 2024, saying that it would help former President Donald Trump instead.

“Let me say something that might be uncomfortable,” the Pennsylvania Democrat began. “There are two additional Democrats running for Pennsylvania, excuse me, running for president right now. One is a congressman from Minnesota, the other one is the governor of California, but only one has the guts to announce it.”
The Washington Examiner reached out to Fetterman and Newsom for comment.
He also told his fellow Democrats not to express criticism of Biden for fears that it would play in Trump’s favor.
