Biden cel­e­brates Beshear’s Ken­tucky reelec­tion vic­to­ry

Pres­i­dent Joe Biden and some of his top sup­port­ers cel­e­brat­ed Gov. Andy Beshear’s (D‑KY) Tues­day night reelec­tion vic­to­ry in Ken­tucky.
Beshear’s oppo­nent, Daniel Cameron, was a for­mer top aide to Sen­ate Minor­i­ty Leader Mitch McConnell (R‑KY) who cam­paigned heav­i­ly on ban­ning abor­tion in the state, his endorse­ment from for­mer Pres­i­dent Don­ald Trump, and against Biden’s eco­nom­ic plat­form. Though Beshear led by as much as 16 points ear­li­er this fall, an Emer­son poll tak­en between Oct. 20 and Nov. 2, the final poll of the cycle, showed Cameron up by 1 point.
