House Repub­li­can lead­ers appeared along­side fam­i­lies of those tak­en hostage by Hamas on the one-month anniver­sary of their cap­ture.
An Israeli Amer­i­can moth­er rep­re­sent­ing her son and two Israeli broth­ers rep­re­sent­ing their oth­er broth­er spoke at a press event host­ed by the House Repub­li­can lead­ers. The fam­i­lies high­light­ed their loved ones’ ordeal on Oct. 7 and asked for help in ensur­ing their safe return home.

“It’s been 30 days. Every day is like an eter­ni­ty to me,” Doris Liber, moth­er of hostage Guy Iluz, 26, said. “I’m part of your peo­ple. You’re part of Israel, and Amer­i­ca has been like the best ally. I’m so proud of being an Amer­i­can, being an Israeli as well. But I do need you now.”
