Gov. Chris Sununu says 2024 GOP can­di­date endorse­ment will come in the ‘next few weeks’

Gov. Chris Sununu (R‑NH) said he plans to endorse a 2024 Repub­li­can pres­i­den­tial can­di­date “in the next few weeks.”
“We’re all friends. We’re all tight. I think they would all make great pres­i­dents,” Sununu said in an inter­view on CBS News Tues­day evening. “I real­ly do. I’ll nar­row it down and get behind one in the next few weeks.”

For­mer Ambas­sador to the Unit­ed Nations Nik­ki Haley and Gov. Ron DeSan­tis (R‑FL) have both cam­paigned with Sununu recent­ly, spark­ing spec­u­la­tion that the New Hamp­shire gov­er­nor will throw his sup­port behind one of the two can­di­dates.
“I think Nik­ki Haley has done very well,” Sununu said, not­ing the impor­tance of the field nar­row­ing. “I think Ron DeSan­tis has real­ly held his own, nation­al­ly in the sec­ond place posi­tion. Some can­di­dates have kind of surged and fad­ed a lit­tle bit. Some that were on the stage aren’t on the stage.”
