Tiana Doesch­er pre­dicts Youngkin turn­ing Vir­ginia red could pave way to RNC lead­er­ship role

The Wash­ing­ton Exam­in­er’s Tiana Lowe Doesch­er has pre­dict­ed that Gov. Glenn Youngk­in’s (R‑VA) work in Vir­ginia could pave the way for a big­ger role for him in the Repub­li­can Par­ty down the line.
The state is host­ing elec­tions for all 140 of its leg­isla­tive seats in the state House and Sen­ate on Tues­day, with Doesch­er not­ing that Youngkin has played an active role in cam­paign­ing for Repub­li­can can­di­dates, both in the pri­ma­ry and gen­er­al elec­tions.

While Doesch­er believes that Youngkin launch­ing a last-minute 2024 pres­i­den­tial run is “more of a fan­ta­sy,” she said that a vari­ety of oth­er options could await him, includ­ing tak­ing charge of the Repub­li­can Nation­al Com­mit­tee.
