Gov. Bri­an Kemp (R‑GA) announced an exten­sion to the sus­pen­sion of the state’s gas tax on Wednes­day to last through the Thanks­giv­ing hol­i­day week­end.
The gas tax in the Peach State is 31.2 cents per gal­lon on gas and 35 cents per gal­lon on diesel fuel. Kemp said the con­tin­u­a­tion of the sus­pen­sion of tax gas through Nov. 29 at 11:59 p.m. is meant to stave off the “dis­as­trous effects of Bide­nomics.”
