Wealthy Repub­li­can donors throw their sup­port behind Nik­ki Haley

For­mer Unit­ed Nations Ambas­sador Nik­ki Haley, a Repub­li­can pres­i­den­tial can­di­date, has picked up sup­port from var­i­ous GOP megadonors, includ­ing promi­nent fundrais­ing oper­a­tive Spencer Zwick.
Mul­ti­ple wealthy GOP donors are look­ing to back Haley, seek­ing a fresh face for the Repub­li­can Par­ty in 2024 instead of for­mer Pres­i­dent Don­ald Trump.

“Nik­ki Haley has the vision, the record, and the cam­paign appa­ra­tus to win both the pri­ma­ry and gen­er­al elec­tion,” Zwick told Axios. “I’m proud to sup­port her efforts and help her build stronger rela­tion­ships with donors and busi­ness lead­ers around the coun­try.”
Zwick is the co-founder and man­ag­ing part­ner at Solamere Cap­i­tal, a Boston-based pri­vate equi­ty firm co-found­ed by Eric Scheuer­mann and Tagg Rom­ney, Sen. Mitt Rom­ney’s (R‑UT) son. Zwick was the nation­al finance chair­man and senior advis­er to Mitt Rom­ney dur­ing his unsuc­cess­ful Repub­li­can pres­i­den­tial bids. Zwick also backed Rom­ney dur­ing his run for the Sen­ate in 2018.
