Nik­ki Haley pledges to defund UN ‘as much as pos­si­ble’

For­mer U.S. Ambas­sador to the Unit­ed Nations Nik­ki Haley called for the U.N. to be defund­ed “as much as pos­si­ble.”
In an inter­view with Fox News’s Sean Han­ni­ty on Wednes­day, Haley con­demned the U.N. over its per­ceived weak­ness toward Chi­na, Rus­sia, and Iran. She pledged that if she were made pres­i­dent, she would with­draw the Unit­ed States from the U.N. Human Rights Com­mis­sion and Paris cli­mate agree­ment, as well as take oth­er steps to weak­en the orga­ni­za­tion — with­out leav­ing it alto­geth­er.

“All of these orga­ni­za­tions, the World Health Orga­ni­za­tion, we should­n’t be a part of it,” Haley said. “We should get out of it, and we should stay out of it. This all start­ed when we helped Chi­na to get into the World Trade Orga­ni­za­tion.”
