Toy­ota Cam­ry sedans to be hybrid only start­ing in 2025

Toy­ota announced Wednes­day that its 2025 line­up will include Cam­ry sedans that are exclu­sive­ly hybrid.
The news comes over 15 years after the Cam­ry was first released as a hybrid and 40 years since the sedan was first released. This new ver­sion will be avail­able in front-wheel dri­ve and all-wheel dri­ve. While it has been com­mon since almost the begin­ning of the mod­el to pro­vide all-wheel dri­ve, it is a recent devel­op­ment for its hybrid.

The Cam­ry will have a 232 com­bined horse­pow­er, which is a 15% increase from the 2024 mod­el. It also has a 2.5‑liter gaso­line engine.
