Deion Sanders invit­ed to Mount Rush­more after mis­tak­ing it as Cal­i­for­ni­a’s ‘lit­tle four heads’

NFL Hall of Famer and Uni­ver­si­ty of Col­orado foot­ball head coach Deion Sanders has been invit­ed to vis­it Mount Rush­more after mis­tak­ing the nation­al trea­sure as “four lit­tle heads” in Cal­i­for­nia.
Sanders made the mis­take dur­ing a mid­week press con­fer­ence while his 4–7 team looks ahead to Sat­ur­day’s final reg­u­lar sea­son game against the Uni­ver­si­ty of Utah, accord­ing to a report.

“My expec­ta­tions are out of the darn park, you got to under­stand. C’mon man,” Sanders said, dis­cussing his expec­ta­tions for his team.
“What’s those lit­tle four heads that are in Cal­i­for­nia?” he con­tin­ued. “What do they call those? The peo­ple’s faces engraved?”

Reporters cor­rect­ed “Coach Prime” that Mount Rush­more is in South Dako­ta, and the two-time Super Bowl Cham­pi­on admit­ted his mis­take.
“It’s in where? I thought it was in LA all this time,” Sanders said with a laugh. “Wow, my geog­ra­phy. That’s the Hol­ly­wood thing? That’s what I thought. I’m sor­ry.”

After the mix-up, Gov. Kristi Noem (R‑SD) invit­ed Sanders and his team to vis­it the land­mark.
