Chip Roy details dif­fer­ence between DeSan­tis and Trump, explains his 2024 endorse­ment

Rep. Chip Roy (R‑TX) has reit­er­at­ed his endorse­ment of Gov. Ron DeSan­tis (R‑FL) instead of Don­ald Trump.
Roy took to X, for­mer­ly known as Twit­ter, to offer his first endorse­ment since DeSan­tis launched his cam­paign. The Texas rep­re­sen­ta­tive had already endorsed DeSan­tis, but that was before the Flori­da gov­er­nor reg­is­tered as a pres­i­den­tial can­di­date.

The endorse­ment from Roy came as a response to DeSan­tis’s wife, Casey DeSan­tis, shar­ing pho­tos of their tour of Iowa from last week.
“I stand 100% along­side this won­der­ful woman & her hus­band, Ron DeSan­tis, because they are tru­ly good & decent peo­ple. Amer­i­ca needs THAT again,” Roy wrote. “I proud­ly fight for to be our GOP nom­i­nee for Pres­i­dent because it’s time to Meet The Moment & WIN again.”
