Mela­nia Trump and Jim­my Carter expect­ed to attend Ros­alynn Carter trib­ute ser­vice

Ros­alynn Carter’s trib­ute ser­vice will have sev­er­al high-pro­file guests in atten­dance.
A pair who were ques­tion­able for the Atlanta por­tion of Carter’s ser­vices appear to have been con­firmed: for­mer first lady Mela­nia Trump and 39th Pres­i­dent Jim­my Carter.

Mela­nia Trump was ques­tion­able as she has been report­ed to be a reluc­tant first lady who refused to give her suc­ces­sor, Jill Biden, a tour of the White House before mov­ing out. But the Carter Cen­ter has con­firmed that Mela­nia Trump will be in atten­dance Tues­day at Glenn Memo­r­i­al Unit­ed Methodist Church on the cam­pus of Emory Uni­ver­si­ty.
The Trump cam­paign did not return a request for com­ment from the Wash­ing­ton Exam­in­er.
Anoth­er ques­tion was the sta­tus of 99-year-old Jim­my Carter, who has been in hos­pice care since Feb­ru­ary in his home­town of Plains, Geor­gia, a more than two-hour dri­ve from Atlanta. But the Carter Cen­ter con­firmed to the Wash­ing­ton Exam­in­er that Jim­my Carter is expect­ed to be in atten­dance as well.
Jim­my Carter and Ros­alynn Carter were mar­ried for 77 years before she died last week, and they hold the record for longest-mar­ried pres­i­den­tial cou­ple.
