DeSantis says Haley is shy on one-to-one debate: ‘Probably wouldn’t like’ it

Gov. Ron DeSan­tis (R‑FL) has respond­ed to The Ingra­ham Angle’s offer to debate fel­low Repub­li­can pres­i­den­tial nom­i­nee Nik­ki Haley, say­ing he doubts she’ll par­tic­i­pate.
“She prob­a­bly wouldn’t like what the debate would be about,” DeSan­tis told host Lau­ra Ingra­ham on Mon­day.
The Flori­da gov­er­nor went on to sug­gest pol­i­cy posi­tions he believes would be dif­fi­cult for Haley to con­tend.

“I think she has tak­en very, very estab­lish­ment-ori­ent­ed posi­tions. We know she had the social media pro­pos­al to force every­body to give their names, which we know would be weaponized against con­ser­v­a­tives. Any­body that’s been alive for the last three or four years knows how that cen­sor­ship regime works,” he said. “She’s also said no lim­its on immi­gra­tion, that CEOs should deter­mine our immi­gra­tion pol­i­cy. No, I think immi­gra­tion pol­i­cy should be what’s in the best inter­est of the Amer­i­can peo­ple and Amer­i­can work­ers.”
