Mike John­son eyes fundrais­ing surge with antic­i­pat­ed $4 mil­lion DC fundrais­er

House Speak­er Mike John­son (R‑LA) is expect­ed to bring in $4 mil­lion at a fundrais­er in Wash­ing­ton, D.C., on Thurs­day night, the lat­est in a string of fundrais­ing suc­cess­es since he took the speak­er’s gav­el.
John­son will be rak­ing in mil­lions at his first major fundrais­er in the dis­trict, Punch­bowl News report­ed. GOP lob­by­ist Jeff Miller and Altria Client Ser­vices Vice Pres­i­dent Todd Walk­er will serve as hosts, accord­ing to an RSVP fli­er.

The fundrais­er is set to begin with a recep­tion at 6 p.m. EST, fol­lowed by a din­ner at 7 p.m.
The $4 mil­lion set to come in from the fundrais­er is the lat­est in a series of high fundrais­ing num­bers brought in by John­son since he became leader of the House dur­ing a three-week vacan­cy of the speak­er’s chair.
