Social Secu­ri­ty update: First of Decem­ber dou­ble pay­ments worth $914 to be sent out on Fri­day

Mil­lions of peo­ple who receive Sup­ple­men­tal Secu­ri­ty Income should get their next month­ly pay­ment, worth up to $914 for indi­vid­ual fil­ers, on Fri­day.
The Dec. 1 pay­ment will be the first of two pay­ments sent to ben­e­fi­cia­ries dur­ing the month of Decem­ber due to a sched­ul­ing quirk for recip­i­ents that hap­pens mul­ti­ple times in a year. But they always receive two in Decem­ber because Jan. 1 is a hol­i­day. They will receive no pay­ments in Jan­u­ary.
