Rep. Lau­ren Boe­bert (R‑CO) used cam­paign funds to buy tick­ets to a bike race her boyfriend was com­pet­ing in.
Images of Fed­er­al Elec­tion Com­mis­sion fil­ings obtained by the Dai­ly Mail showed that Boe­bert with­drew $339.94 in cam­paign funds for “event tick­ets,” which she spent on tick­ets to attend the Leadville Trail 100 MTB bike race on Aug. 12, where her then-secret boyfriend Quinn Gal­lagher, 46, was com­pet­ing. The event was rough­ly a month before an infa­mous out­ing where the two were kicked out of a Beetle­juice musi­cal per­for­mance for row­dy con­duct — the two were seen grop­ing each oth­er in secu­ri­ty footage released to the pub­lic.
