For­mer New York col­league reminds San­tos to pay tax­es on Cameo earn­ings

Rep. Daniel Gold­man (D‑NY) made a joke at the expense of for­mer Rep. George San­tos on Sat­ur­day that became an online spat.
Gold­man, a first-term rep­re­sen­ta­tive of New York like San­tos once was, took to X, for­mer­ly known as Twit­ter, to react to the trend of San­tos’s var­i­ous Cameos appear­ing online. San­tos has been active on the video plat­form, in which peo­ple pay celebri­ties to share mes­sages at their dis­cre­tion. Some of them, seem­ing­ly as jokes, have appeared online, includ­ing one Sen. John Fet­ter­man (D‑PA) com­mis­sioned to offer advice to Sen. Bob Menen­dez (D‑NJ) in light of the crim­i­nal indict­ment against him.
