White House Report Card: Biden ‘clown car’ crash­es to 37% approval

This week’s White House Report Card finds Pres­i­dent Joe Biden in Cal­i­for­nia woo­ing cam­paign donors with a mix of word sal­ads and debunked old tales.
In San­ta Mon­i­ca Fri­day night, he rolled out a new one, talk­ing about invest­ing “over a bil­lion, three hun­dred mil­lion, tril­lion, three hun­dred mil­lion dol­lars” in rail projects and retold a false Amtrak sto­ry. For­tu­nate­ly, he didn’t retell his plans to build a rail­way across the Pacif­ic Ocean.

Elec­tion polls con­tin­ue to show a close race with for­mer Pres­i­dent Don­ald Trump. A Wall Street Jour­nal sur­vey out Sat­ur­day has Trump up 47%-43%, but oth­er polls have giv­en Biden the edge. Biden’s approval rat­ing was a dis­mal 37% in the Jour­nal poll.
