Raskin says there is anti­semitism in the GOP: ‘Where does Elise Ste­fanik get off?’

Rep. Jamie Raskin (D‑MD) railed against the GOP Sun­day regard­ing the recent nation­al response to anti­semitism on col­lege cam­pus­es. He took spe­cif­ic aim at Rep. Elise Ste­fanik (R‑NY) and for­mer Pres­i­dent Don­ald Trump on the top­ic.
Raskin joined host Ali Velshi on MSNBC, and they dis­cussed the GOP response to what peo­ple are call­ing anti­semitism across the coun­try. Raskin accused the par­ty of being inter­twined with anti­semitism.

“Some­body like Elise Ste­fanik has no prob­lem going after Ivy League pres­i­dents, what about Don­ald Trump, who dines with Nicholas Fuentes, who is an unre­con­struct­ed holo­caust revi­sion­ist neon­azi who says that Jews don’t belong in West­ern civ­i­liza­tion,” Raskin said.
He then allud­ed to the Unite the Right ral­ly in Char­lottesville, Vir­ginia, in 2017. Trump was quot­ed say­ing that there were “some very fine peo­ple on both sides.”
“Jews will not replace us!” was one of the chants that could be heard at that ral­ly, accord­ing to the Anti-Defama­tion League.
