Out­kick host Char­ly Arnolt balked at some of the con­tenders who made the Time Per­son of the Year short­list, adding that she was grate­ful Tay­lor Swift was ulti­mate­ly giv­en the hon­ors.
“It’s bestowed upon the per­son that Time deems to be the most influ­en­tial in a giv­en year. And I’m actu­al­ly real­ly hap­py, I must say, that they chose Tay­lor Swift because aside from being a world­wide phe­nom­e­non, she is noth­ing short of that and an amaz­ing per­former,” Arnolt said on her Out­kick the Morn­ing show. “[Swift] did sin­gle-hand­ed­ly boost the U.S. econ­o­my with her Eras tour. And here’s what I want to know. Can she have anoth­er tour, please? Because the econ­o­my, as we know it needs even more help.”
