Pres­i­dent Joe Biden received an icy recep­tion out­side a fundrais­er in Philadel­phia.
While Biden spoke to donors about “Amer­i­can pos­si­bil­i­ties” inside the Hilton Philadel­phia at Pen­n’s Land­ing, out­side, hun­dreds of pro-Pales­tin­ian pro­test­ers shout­ed their sup­port for a cease­fire between Israel and Hamas, accord­ing to White House pool reports. Oth­ers yelled “shame” as Biden and his motor­cade depart­ed for Philadel­phia Inter­na­tion­al Air­port en route back to Wash­ing­ton, D.C.

“Some pro­test­ers held up a big sign that said ‘Geno­cide Joe & Netan-Nazi,’ ” accord­ing to press pool reports from the Mon­day event.
Dur­ing the fundrais­er, also attend­ed by Gov. Josh Shapiro (D‑PA), Biden con­trast­ed his inau­gur­al address about “Amer­i­can pos­si­bil­i­ties” to for­mer Pres­i­dent Don­ald Trump’s one regard­ing “Amer­i­can car­nage.” Trump is the 2024 Repub­li­can pri­ma­ry front-run­ner.
