Haley sticks up for hus­band after Trump attacks him for absence on cam­paign trail 

For­mer U.S. Ambas­sador to the Unit­ed Nations Nik­ki Haley defend­ed her hus­band after her 2024 oppo­nent Don­ald Trump attacked him in a speech.
Trump was in South Car­oli­na Sat­ur­day address­ing a ral­ly in Con­way to get out the vote ahead of the state’s Repub­li­can pri­ma­ry on Feb. 24. Haley is also in South Car­oli­na on the cam­paign trail after serv­ing as the gov­er­nor there. Dur­ing his speech, Trump com­ment­ed on Haley’s hus­band, Michael Haley, who is a Nation­al Guards­man.
“Where’s her hus­band? Oh, he’s away. He’s away!” Trump said of him. “What hap­pened to her hus­band? What hap­pened to her hus­band? Where is he? He’s gone.”

Michael is deployed serv­ing our coun­try, some­thing you know noth­ing about. Some­one who con­tin­u­al­ly dis­re­spects the sac­ri­fices of mil­i­tary fam­i­lies has no busi­ness being com­man­der in chief. ht …
