Trump rails against ‘fas­cist’ Democ­rats but jokes indict­ments have been ‘good for the polls’

For­mer Pres­i­dent Don­ald Trump, on Sat­ur­day, slammed Pres­i­dent Joe Biden for the sev­er­al crim­i­nal and civ­il indict­ments against him launched by the Depart­ment of Jus­tice but joked that they have strength­ened his sup­port head­ing into the 2024 elec­tion.

“It’s hard to say it’s good to be indict­ed, but it sure as hell has helped the polls,” Trump said to a ral­ly of sup­port­ers in Con­way, South Car­oli­na.

Trump said that “Biden is bad for democ­ra­cy because he is gross­ly incom­pe­tent,” ref­er­enc­ing Democ­rats as a “group of fas­cists that are destroy­ing our coun­try.”

“He uses DOJ and FBI and every­thing you can to go after an oppo­nent, and noth­ing has ever hap­pened like that in this coun­try,” said Trump. “I think it’s rever­ber­at­ing against him.”
