Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D‑CA) reacted to former President Donald Trump’s prediction that the automobile industry will undergo a “bloodbath” if he’s not reelected.
Pelosi appeared on State of the Union Sunday, where she was asked what she thought about Trump receiving intelligence briefings. In answering the question, Pelosi brought up Trump’s speech in Dayton, Ohio, when he disparaged electric vehicles and made campaign promises to maintain the auto industry should he be reelected. Trump promised to put a 100% tariff on Chinese-made cars before he said, “Now if I don’t get elected, it’s going to be a bloodbath.”
The former House speaker said Democrats “have to win this election because he‘s even predicting a bloodbath. What does that mean? He’s going to exact a bloodbath?
